LSVT BIG program
This program trains people with Parkinson’s Disease to use their body more normally. It improves balance, walking, flexibility, and can even help with smaller movements such as buttoning buttons or writing.
One Month Program, 4 sessions per week, 4 weeks in a row, Daily homework and carryover exercises
Balance/Fall Prevention
Balance Training
Age, injury, and illnesses can all affect your balance
Physical therapy can help build your strength and stability, to help improve your independence and decrease risk of injury and falls
Home Safety Evaluation
Evaluation of your home including home safety modifications and equipment recommendations (grab bars, shower chairs, transfer chairs/benches, railings/ramps, etc.)
Orthopaedics and Prosthetics
Total Hip/Knee Replacements or Fractures
Work on improving range of motion and strength in your arms and legs to return to an active, pain-free lifestyle
Improve balance and mobility using assistive devices
Prosthetics
Following an upper or lower extremity amputation, we will work on strengthening your amputated limb in preparation for the prosthesis
Work closely with your prosthetist on ensuring a proper prosthetic fit
Advance to standing, walking and stairs training with progression to return to work/sport
